Clearly Sony worked on the ball on the stick + PS eye tech before the Wiimote so they clearly did not copy that, plus clearly they have motion sensor in the sixaxis but on the other hand clearly the "subcontroler" is copied so clearly this is not a clearly cut question. So clearly the answer is maybe.
