as nintendo copied atari with the nes. so no i don't think so.
or nintendo the dualshock with the classical controller,
neither invent videogaming, unless u believe nintendo invent pong, just in case (it was also atari)
companies are expect to compete against each other, the moment one profits , there is no competition no further development happens i never seen a fierce sony before the ps3.
