Agreed. I'm just talking from a purely casual gamer perspective. They buy Wiis because they look appealing. This only accounts for a portion of the Wiis sales, but a big portion nonetheless. But, as a general rule (as my famous saying goes, "rules always have exceptions"), I agree with you.
