I understand nothing :

more protection is great news for americans people ?

Correct, unless of course you highlight some of the less great wording that got crammed in there to try and water down the bill to make it unpassable, and blow them WAAAAAAAAY out of proportion. Then it sounds very bad.

sure but since it passed, it is great, right ?

It's great news for the 32 million people who couldn't afford coverage before that now will be able to. It's not great news for people that make $200,000 or more, because they might have to spend a bit more.

wait, the poor people will have "free" coverage because it will be paid by the "rich/average" people, is that your point ?

Somewhat. The wealthy will pay more, but it's not to subsidize the poor. Most of the money is "supposed" to come from cutting back on current Medicare/Medicaid expenditures for now. Also, it's not free coverage for the homeless or anything like that, it's more affordable coverages and closing insurance company loopholes.

@ dsister44- that is not a "spin free" document you have. In fact it's riddled with abusive language, not a good way to convince people of your point. Like the Texas Senator yelling "Baby killer!" at the house speaker when he was announcing the results of the vote.
