Yeah I'd say that it would be a joke to consider Secret of Evermore a wrpg. Ditto for other wrpgs that play a lot like jrpgs. Pier Solar for one is made by a bunch of western developers (the project lead is Brazilian and most of the rest of his team is European) but it is without a doubt inspired by the 16-bit rpgs that came out of Japan. What good would come from labelling a game like that a wrpg when these games are not targetted to the wrpg audience at all?
