As far as No More Heroes. Be glad Ubisoft is even willing to touch it. If they didn't who would?
Ubisoft probably won't publish the HD release. So there's no guarantee it'll come to the NA or Others at all.

If Ubisoft didn't do NHM, someone else assuredly would have. Even if just one of the "niche" pubs, like Atlus, XSEED, Ignition, etc.
I'll be shocked if Heroes Paradise doesn't make it from one of them actually.

And if those companies published NMH for the Wii, sales would have been even more abysmal. Lets remember the origianl NMH actually had TV ads. Atlus aside, those publishers don't support the games they publish.
I predict abysmal sales for Heroes Paradise if Ignition or Xseed publish it. And Wii fans will say, "HD consoles can't sell this game either!"

Uh, NMH1 didn't have tv ads. At least not in the US (where Ubi published it). It had like zero promotion actually, I don't even remember web ads?
The game probably would've sold better if Atlus had done it... Ignition seems to do okay with promotion too (thanks Shane!). XSEED is awful though.

I didn't notice they only did the US publishing. I do believe it had online advertising though.
Anyhow, people can only blame Ubisoft so much. There are a lot of games that receive advertising and still don't receive great sales. Such as Final Fantasy CCCB, Conduit, Madworld, TvC, etc. If those game have good legs, you can't say it was because of advertising. Advertising is usually only good for front loaded sales.
Frankly, I don't believe advertising would be financilly worth while for NMH. And if another (smaller) publisher got a hold of it, it would have most likely sold less.

I'd like to reply to this fully, but I can't seem to locate the goalposts...
