Alright last night I got around to playing the game a bit more. I just ended up starting over. Some of my previous thoughts on it have gone away. First impressions now are:
- Battle System is actually quite unique when you actually learn how to use it. I agree with others when they state that the tutorial should have been mandatory. But guys the optional tutorial in this game sucks. It doesn't explain everything you have to do. I had to bounce from the tutorial to the book manual, to the internet for help. But in the end, the battle system is quite nifty and i'm starting to enjoy it.
- Graphics in battle are pretty damn sweet imo, but outside is pretty much average. Though graphics have never been a problem with me.
- Music is decent, though the song in the arena is just awful. Doesn't fit the mix at all.
- VA is better than it was before at the start. When Zephy and Leanne were falling and she kept saying "oh i'm alive!" that was HORRIBLE. But thankfully it doesn't seem like that is there anymore.
- Story seems non-existent so far. Hopefully this picks up later because story to me is the part that counts the most. Battle system is next.
- World Map system is quite interesting.
Also, this game can be quite hard if you have no idea what your doing. and the battle system reminds me alot of VP2.
