Wouldn't surprise me if they did, though maybe not at E3. I think they'd only do it if their market research finds that a controllerless gaming system isn't gaining a lot of consumer traction. It's non-gaming applications won't need any hand held peripheral device, so they still have the no more remote controls and mouse free computing to keep on going.
However from Sony's point of view they'd be able to say "I told you so" and Kevin Butler would come out smelling like Roses for his most recent ad.
Natal's main advantage is price. If for gaming you'll need a hand held controller for some/many games the price advantage diminishes and it's also an admission that while the tech is advanced over PSEye it's not really able to be used in gaming to its full advantage. So the hyperbole in this thread about it kicking move's arse is a bit rich.
