Yeah, those are heavily unbalanced. Even with mid level Tier 2 weapons, they're ridiculously high, 5 minutes.
I just faced a 1.5M juggernaught who has a 1 min and 36 seconds time limit.... yeah, that's fair XD
Even with max crystallium, I have trouble 5-starring juggernaut. The time limit doesnt make sense
Special attacks and pre-emptive?
I cant pre-empt him. the only way I've 5-starred it is to use "infiltration (sab/sab/sab) cast deprotect, deshell, Imperil and slow. Then switch to tri-disaster (rav/rav/rav) and go all out till he staggers. He'll try to "steam clean" (remove ailments) before staggering. This mustn't happen or you wont make it.
Immediately after staggering him, switch to ''cerberus" (com/com/com) to take him out ASAP. The launch will prevent him from ever recovering. this is the only way I ever 5-star this battle
Yep, can't pre-empt him, but did get one 5/5. Oddly, he got staggered when I used espionage (SAB/SYN/SAB) and after that, it was gravvy. Didn't understand why he got staggered so fast though
Honestly, sometimes it seems to me that sabs stagger enemies faster than ravagers. However, you may have had "random insta-chain" synth ability or do you use Light's lionheart?
Nope, just got it in this chapter but haven't used it yet. I think it was sheer luck >_<
hmm...strange. it usually takes me two rounds of tri-disaster (rav/rav/rav) with 6ATBs to stagger him.
