Ouch, recent video and some other people in comments have started to say it has started happening. May be a new thing. Then again you can't believe anything in the comment box on Youtube.
I didn't even know the powerbrick had a fan, I just haved my shoved behind my TV unit and subwoofer lol.
I'd just return it, if it gets louder the longer it is active it's probably overheating or it thinks it is.
