Erm, it should be the opposite? The brick makes no noise and your Xbox should.

Or are we all just being trolled :P?

lol seriously, don't even mention the word troll.

The brick itself makes more noise than the 360 does. It starts off silent then gradually gets louder as I keep it on. I'm surprised at how quiet the new 360s are, but the power brick takes away any of that, because it's so loud. Hopefully the one I replace it with isn't the same.

When I said are we being trolled I mean as in are we all suckers falling for your joke? :)

You are the first person since the launch back in 2005 that I have ever seen mention this problem.

The powerbrick shouldn't be making any loud noise (I didn't even know it made a noise) and the Xbox should be making alot of noise (unless the game is installed to the hardrive).

If it's not a forum joke I seriously suggest you disconnect the power supply unit and return it. The shop you bought it from will most likely need the Console+hardrive and the Power supply unit, if it's to be swapped.
