*sighs*
I was trying to point out that the arguements used in hardcore vs. casual gamers are the same ones that could be used (but in reverse) in the BR PS3 vs the standalone HD players for movies.
Namely, less movies purchased by the more numerous gamers for their HD players vs. those that bought their HD players only for movies, reflects the same arguement of the more numerous casual buyers of the Wii, who don't buy as many games as the hardcore buyer of the PS3 or X360.
I would also submit that the casual buyers of the Wii will have more vary tastes in the games (and movies) that they buy than the hardcore gamers. Thus the concern that the fictional 'First Person Shooter' movie format will turn out to to be the ONLY movie format. Similar to the worry that the casual mini-games will be the ONLY video game format in the future.
Torturing the numbers. Hear them scream.
