Resident Evil 5 was disappointing. Devil May Cry 4 was even more disappointing- 3 and a half hour game and then mirrored for another 3 and a half hours. Crapcom make crap games. I also did not like Street Fighter IV either.
Resident Evil 5 fails because it went away from its unique style and it tried to be too just another shooter. Implementation of co-op was a fail. RE5 is one of the weakest games in the Resident Evil series.
