Is XXX that great threads showed us you don't trust anyone,so why you ask ?

he asked people, why they make "is game xxx (really) that great?" threads, if they already have their mind made up about it and couldn't bring themselves to trust the reviews and existing threads and so on

and if they really just want an opinion and are to lazy to search for the mass of opinions on the internet the OP advises them to name the thread "How is game XXX?", as that distanced it from the ones who just want to throw mud at the specific game

he answered "I typed threads", because he ment he was talking in plural and wasn't focusing on one specific thread that made him angry

Not surprising tho.  It is all about how you have to learn the language not being a native speaker.
