I gotta say, it was a great game. I downloaded the new chapters (Desperate Escape and Lost in Nightmares) and played RE5 again for the first time in months. The graphics are still among the best I've ever seen. Why this game isn't brought up in graphical debates is beyond me. The co-op gameplay was as fun as ever. The game was good.

My complaint about RE5 was the lack of scares. They needed to do something with the pacing to give it moments of high tension. But would that make for a good co-op game? Is it still Resident Evil? Well after playing "Lost in Nightmares", I'd have to say it's better than classic Resident Evil. In the old games, the scares wore off after the first playthrough (and by RE2, the games weren't scary, anyway.) The amount of backtracking and lack of inventory were horrible. That made for some good tension, but did it make for a good game?

So I played co-op "Lost in Nightmares". The tension was there. The backtracking was there. The old Resident Evil feeling was back! And I was bored out of my mind! I may not play through it a second time. I've played and re-played RE5 more times than I can remember. I'll play through it again now that I have new costumes.

So, while it may not be a great "Resident Evil" style game, it is a great video game....in my honest opinion.
