Nintendo, for the amount of titles they have produced and the amount those titles have sold.

Not all titles associated with Sony as being 'first party' are really first perty. Some are simply funded with Sony money but made by secondary or independent studios (games like God of War or White Knight Chronicles are a good example). The same can be attributed to Microsoft.

While Nintendo has its own fair share of second parties and third party games they publish, they also have a laundry list of first party games that is virtually unparalleled in the gaming industry. And as can easily be seen, from Mario to Pokemon to their latest 'Wii' lineup of games, those games line the charts as some of the highest grossing games in history.

As for what I think is the 'best' first party developer, I'll just keep that in the dark.  P.S. I don't think one company is better than the other, but much of what constitutes the 'First Party Support' for Sony and Microsoft is not actually 'Sony' or 'Microsoft'.

You are beyond mis informed atleast about SONY GOD OF WAR is a 1st party title made by Sony

Yes, after looking it up, I see that God of War was made bySony Santa Monica Studio.

However, I still stand by everything else I said.  As you can see with this link, Sony and its first party projects have a long way to go to amass both the amount of titles and sales Nintendo has achieved over the years.

Now compare that to the list for Nintendo and click on any of the R&D sections.  You'll see a list for each comparable to the amount of games for all of Sony's first parties.

R&D means Research and Development, these guys don't make games they make consoles and peripherals

Nintendo's First party are these

Internal

And their Second Party are these.

Consolidated

Wow, you need to go back and look at the site again.  It says right there.  Original Development Teams.  As in, these are the teams that originally were there making games back in the NES era and before.  They're all still there, just R&D4 has been split up into smaller divisions and renamed to EAD.

R&D1 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Research_%26_Development_1

R&D2 - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Research_%26_Development_2

R&D4 (now known as EAD) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Entertainment_Analysis_and_Development

These were Nintendos 'in house' game development studios.  The studios that originally made such games as Mario, Zelda, Metroid and more.  And R&D1 is still around working on games like Metroid, Fire Emblem and Warioware.
