So I plan on getting a 360 tomorrow and I have some questions.

First off, I know that the chips in the 360 have been improved and conduct less heat now, but how reliable are they? I've also been hearing about an uprise in E64 errors instead of RROD, some polls at Joystiq.com show this. Though I'm not sure if that's just with older consoles still failing or not. Do they run cooler and quieter?

Also, I don't plan on buying one of the wireless adapters if I can do the wireless ethernet trick with my laptop, so that I can save $100. It's just that I've heard that can cause things to mess up with Xbox Live. I'm not 100% sure. I have the money to spend on the adapter, but its always good to save where you can.
