The four player coop games were called Champions of Norrath I think -- they were based in the everquest world -- not a great setting, but they were great hack n slash games. Snowblind made Dark Alliance 1 first, and then made the Champions games based off the same game engine and most of the same gameplay.
All of these games are hard to find used and quite expensive on Xbox or PS2 -- a good indicator of the unmet demand for good hack n slash rpgs this generation, and of course the quality of those games.
