you could possibly get 320 gigs for 50. depending on a sale. the ps3 has a full backup tool, but it actually requires 3 drives.
I just copied my save game data onto a usb drive and pasted it in place on the new hard drive. games have to reinstall..but who cares its a lot cheaper.
also as for people saying 7200rpm, the ps3 cannot write or readat that speed, so its absolutely pointless.
