If it's just size your interested in then by all means get a 5400, the ps3 doesn't take advantage of the 7200, that's why you see nominal speed increase but in my opinion the cache makes a bigger difference.
As for the heat issues, its a fallacy, it may have been true years ago but the newer 7200 run cooler than some older 5400, I've had mine for nearly 2 years and haven't had a single issue.
