You missed a key part of the article/post. There's a cap of 16 Gb of usable space on the USB device. By that I mean, even if you hook a 1.5Tb ext HD to the Xbox, you can only use 16 Gb of it. You can hook up 2 seperate HDs for a total of 32 Gb, but that's the max.

Maybe this is all an early April fool's joke though? Capping the usable storage space is oddly low for even MS. Maybe the cap is wrong? I'll still make use of it since I'm out of space anyways, but still.
