I don't know if it was taken down on the same day, but the PS3 version was taken off the store late February.
It's a shame, but they probably want people to buy the game and not spend all their time in the demo. I remember playing the Bad Company 1 demo for a while. Heck, I remember playing the Battlefield 2 demo for a few months after the game came out before I finally went out and bought it.
