Having different opinions isn't the root of the problem, it's more about how people portray those opinions. I'm victim of this as well, but some of us try too hard to force others to understand our point. For me at least, I don't care if people agree with some of the things I say as long as they understand.
Of course, there are just times when I'm wrong and/or misinformed, but I can usually (keyword usually) catch on to that quickly enough.
