I know I definitely missed a lot of great songs from the 16-bit JRPGs, as I did this thread at 2 AM in the morning (haha, what a freak I am). Still, I'm one of those guys that say that all the "3D JRPGs" are really the pinnacle of the genre, mostly because it's easier to portray an heavier and deeper story with the introduction of facial expressions and character animations. Music followed I guess. Before, it was an emotion sprite either popping on top of a sprite or just some weird laugh sound like in Kefka's case! lulz.

I don't know what's your past record with FFXIII, but if you tell yourself to hate everything from that game, obviously you'll hate the soundtrack too. Just saying!
