Airships = Cool, though lately airships don't really look any different then... sci-fi planes.
World map = Don't care. World maps were really nothing to me but places to level grind.
Ha, I remember my first experience with a world map. Dragon Warrior.... Ah man what fun, take that slime, take this slime... Oooh a bridge "crosses bridge" Magic drakey hits you with hurt, you take 9999 damage.
