As far as those screenshots go, Killzone 2 has better textures, most notably on the gun. But this analogy sums up my thoughts on Killzone 2's graphics:
You can take a pig, give it a bath, shine it up real nice and put a bow around it's neck, and you'll have the best looking pig around. In the end you'll still have a pig.
Guerilla Games took a god-awful looking game and shined the shit out of it, maybe that makes it "next gen" to some people, to me it's still god-awful looking.
