It's an ok game with a decent-length (in the second one) campaign. The co-op is great, and then... I can't stand the multiplayer for Gears (2). Everyone seems to use the shotgun, and everyone seems to play execution. It almost always seems to become a game of who can jump around and shoot the other guy first -_-

I'm not just trying to trash the game. I really did enjoy it (much more than Halo or Resistance, which is what everyone seems to compare it to) but it just doesn't seem to be that great. Also, I have played both of them, and I STILL have almost no idea of what's going on in the game...

I love the way the game feels and plays.  The cover system is great and the gunplay is great.  The graphics are great as well.  Lots of good set pieces in the SP.  The only online I liked was Horde and I agree with you on the competitive MP aspect.
