I said a bad system made good.  Social Security and Medicare are examples of how things stay bad.

I mean, social security probably won't even exist 50 years... and Medicare is just one of the most ineffective and expensive forms of health insurance out there... and this bill is going to make it worse.

I thought Social Security worked fine up until now that the baby boomers are becoming a large part of the population.

Then what about the Federal Reserve? Seems to work out pretty damn well nowadays, and if I remember correctly it was made by FDR and was pretty bad when it was made.

No, social security has always been slowley breaking down, baby boomers just murdered it.  A system that only works when your population doesn't grow is just a bad system all around.

As for the Fed... they're one of the big reasons the economic crisis was so bad.  Because the fed is beholden to politicians who didn't want tiny  recessions because that hurt votes. 


It has the same problems today it had when it was founded.
