this. it's being driven right now by sony's failures and the xbox's strengths in english speaking areas (pretty much NA). i'd say it's pretty close but i'm probably biased, since i live in NA.
i've had at least one console in my home every gen since the nes and i can tell you one thing. my italian grandmother who doesn't speak a word of english, has a 2nd grade education and doesn't know how to turn on a computer has mistakenly called video games in general "oou neentendo" or "playstay-sho" but never has she or will she be calling anything an "icks boox" anytime soon.
