It's god of war... there is going to be plotholes. Heck, I still haven't figured out why he didn't use his harp and time travel powers to completly change his and his familys destiny. People say it's because his wife and daughter got to be in the Elysian fields... but they SHOULD go there anyway... if he goes back and changes his history to where he lives a less dickish un-Ares involved life... and then he could spend eternity with his kid and wife. |
He's turned into a hideous monster who doesn't even think of salvation anymore, and his whole existence is summed up in his search for vengeance.
That's really all there is. if that qualifies as a plothole....then there's a plothole.
And I guess we just looked at the myths differently, because out of all the pantheons I know, the Greeks are easily the biggest jerk. Every single major character has origins traced back to the gods acting like jerks.
