Because other than a few exclusives, the PS3 still doesn't really have anything that stands out?

The first party support doesn't compare to Nintendo's, the third party support doesn't compare to the 360's, the motion controller will be severely underutilized compared to the Wiimote, and the tech is severely outdated, and increasingly so as the time goes by.

If you are talking about games, then you must be living under the largest rock that has yet to be discovered..

SONY has a 1st party studio that is MUCH LARGER than nintendos, and brings out MUCH MORE QUALITY ip than nintendo.

Actually I'm not sure if that's the case... Nintendo has over 4,000 employees, but I can't find figures for SCE worldwide (Japan is 1,300 though).

And quality is purely subjective, but sales aren't.  At the end of the day, Nintendo can make games that sell 20m+, Sony can't.
