Anyone who buys into this now is an idiot and is actually hurting all consumers.
The active shudder glasses system should not be pushed as a consumer device as it only pushes higher costs onto the consumer.
Everyone needs to force the market to deliver the passive system that will dramatically reduce the costs of the glasses themselves; which is vital for anyone who wants to watch sports or movies with family and friends or simply play local multi-player games.
I am thoroughly disgusted with the approach these companies have decided to take and I have been eagerly waiting 3D at home and watch nearly all movies in the theaters that come in 3D. Hopefully this will fail massively this year and the better option will come next year.
