I'm in Canada, and except for mud crops, we're in the same boat.  Record breaking hot temperatures are becoming the norm.  This winter looks like it'll be a cold one, but last year we didn't see snow in southern Ontario until mid-January. 

Unfortunately, I've always maintained 'global warming' is a hard sell in Canada. People here will give it a lot of lip service but won't give up a damn thing to stop it.  And who in Canada wouldn't prefer warmer winters?  More land to use for farming (as the permifrost melts away)?  Longer summers?
