Why don't the gods give Kratos amnesia?

Isn't there a god of Memories in the world of Kratos who could lose his file or something?  Considering what is coming down, maybe they should of thought of it.

The Greek gods are jack-asses. They didn't do that because they are jack-asses.

Well... in this game they're jerk asses... the represenatations of the Greek gods aren't exactly spot on here... they're more like the depictions of the gods on Hercules: The Legendary Journies.

The Greek gods had their "jerk" moments in real life... but not nearly as much.

Also the more obvious point is "He couldn't kill them then could he."  Which would ruin the game.
