If you are talking about games, then you must be living under the largest rock that has yet to be discovered..
SONY has a 1st party studio that is MUCH LARGER than nintendos, and brings out MUCH MORE QUALITY ip than nintendo.
If you are talking about the motion controller, then I wont argue, since we haven't seen many 1st party or 3rd party titles that utilize the move, and the PS3 has as much 3rd party support as the XBOX 360 has.. give or take an exclusive 3rd party game.

Who cares about new IPs? Nintendo's two-decade-old IPs are still completely unsurpassed in any regard by anything SCE has ever produced.

That is more like an, opinion :) one that I disagree heavily. I give value to quality over sales. The main goty winners of the past few years only strenghtens my opinion. they have almost all have been, Sony or xbox :)

What?!?! am I living in an alternate reality, Nintendo has the sales, and the quality. I mean nothing sony can produce holds up to Zelda, Mario, or Metroid IMO.
If you're going by quality nothing sony has produced beats Mario Galaxy this generation for me.
The year Mario galaxy came out it was game of the year on alot of websites, the same with Zelda TP.
NSMBWii might not be "goty" worthy, but its a great game, and its selling like crazy.
We will see who is game of the year on the majority of websites when Zelda hits this year...I'm confident. =)
