LOL...this guy is funny.
FFXIII is adequate, fun to play, has a decent story (not the best but still really good), and above all is beautiful. What people are noting as "disappointing features" are design choices and based on how SE wanted to develop the game.
I admit, it must be really hard to develop an HD RPG that is more in line with other games in the series, but as a stand alone iteration it holds up just fine.
I agree with the overall theme of the article however: its peoples expectations that are garnering this game poor reviews not the game itself, which is solid...though admittedly it does not stand as my favorite.
-- Nothing is nicer than seeing your PS3 on an HDTV through an HDMI cable for the first time.
