@anyone thinking of getting this game:
It really is an RPG baseball game. Road to the Show puts you on a team in like on a AA team. You can chose to only play your guy. You can hit and field and run bases, although i skip running the bases. You have lots of stats, ie contact vs right handed pitcher, contact vs left, power, plate vision, ect. They all have a meter that goes up when you get points. Like you get points from doing the batting cages and also if you do well in games you get training points to spend on whatever you like. It has all the things I used to love about Baseball Stars for the NES, WOOT!
Also you can skip to your next action. Like I bat 3rd so the game simulates till i have something to do. So when im up the game lets me hit. Then if theres going to be a play in my direction in RF I take over there. Its kinda funny when im in the field i know the balls goig to be coming in my direction lol.
One thing may turn some people off. The hitting is very hard. But thats like real baseball. A hitted can fail 70% of the time and be a hall of famer. But there is trick and stuff to help you with hitting and im hitting like .350 atm so im doing ok i guess. I have so much more to discover.
