They don't care until they do. Unfortunately it might be too late to stop the madness then.

A few years ago I barely knew anything about finance. Due to these worldwide collapses I know a lot more now, and I bet many people do as well.

 

Ah, but instant gratification and all that. However there can be ways to pay off the debt incrementally and carefully. So instead of being in a deep depression for a little while we could be in a state of restraing for several years.
