Not exactly, the problem is... tax and spend democrats decide the tax rate by looking at the revnue rate... then when the new tax rates come into effect, the revenue rate and GDP in general drop, and they end up having a shortcoming to pay for the spending.
It's like california... it's where it is because the taxes drove away the things they were taxing.
