In overall quality, not production values. Having an amazing combat system is disappointing imo, when everything else isn't as good and the story is absurd. GoW III is supposed to have one of the most amazing opening sequences ever in video games and the scale of it all is amazing. |
dood, if Platinum Games had 5 years to make their game with 44 million USD thrown in their face, I'll bet you money that the product would be at least as good as GoW3, and likely better, from what I've played and seen. JP dev can only dream of having that much time and money in their face. Nobody is arguing that GoW3 isn't a good game, but I personally value game play above everything else, the rest can be piled with time and money, aka production value. I can easily enjoy both games and say what I like better in each one, and I have no question that GoW3 will have a better presentation, that's a "no shit," but the game play can't be matched to Bayonetta, and it won't be even close most likely.
