| dahuman said: ummm.... reading your posts, I'm starting to think Dante's is pretty sad because, they removed the smashing to open chests in God of War 2, you just hold R1 and it just opens after a few seconds(has something to do with the game play mechanics to wait a few seconds, risk and reward kind of a thing when in a jam.) The combat was also much better in God of War 2 compared to God of War towards the end because during GoW1, once you upgrade your weapon fully, all you do is pretty much square, then hold square, through out the rest of the game while releasing a shit load of spirits to kill everything, which was just cheap, though the Quake had a similar effect in GoW2 but at least you had to mash circle to get the full effect and not free like Spirit of Hades. |
Ok, I will admit I may have got a few things wrong about God of War, but Dante's Inferno doesn't feel like they wanted to do a game based on the Divine Comedy, but EA wanted to make a God of War rip-off they couldn't get sued making. It is one thing to say, "Wow, I think Devil May Cry is cool, and I think a game based on Greek Mythology borrowing from it would be cool". It is an entirely other one to have a mentality that the 360 needs God of War, so you decide to do a God of War game but put it in the world of the Divine Comedy. Things like this infuriate me.
