Nord, unfortunately, you are running a 4200, and it is a piece of shit, so even if you are running on 1.3b cables, you won't get 7.1 audio, because, it's shit. So, just use the S/PDIF from the motherboard.

ps#2: forgot to mention that you need at least a 4600 series for actual HDMI goodness, just how it is.
