Most games are better off played with a controller of some kind. It's more about the interface that natal will bring.
and the innovation question is a joke...halo, xbox live, and 1080p streaming?
halo- awesome game but the only thing innovative about it was the 16 player LAN play(which was so much fun btw). other than that it was just another fun splitscreen shooter...now goldeneye n64 that was innovative
xbox live- pc games were online way before the xbox was and I'm not sure about the timeline but ps2 broadband might have been out too with socom online around the same time live came out...$50 dollars a year is innovative though
1080p streaming- yea you're the only ones with this nonsense big win for you...how about you show me FFXIII in 1080p 0_o :)
natal- the first device I've seen from microsoft that is actually innovative and holds potential and may not only be the future of gaming but also the future of microsoft's success in the console business.
honestly though with microsoft trying to innovate (which they really haven't at all this being their first real attempt) with natal and create something new, given their track record with console quality and windows OS quality i would wait a few months and see if natal has any issues before buying it
