IMO XIII is just a game with the Final Fantasy title attached to it.

Actually, Elder Wyrm wasn't as tough as it seemed to be, because you would learn Esuna in Eyrut Village (Fran's hometown). Though, it helped me to have a full party with White Magicks capacities, so probably that was a plus for me :P
In terms of toughness on FFXII, nothing beats this guy right here:
Who can forget his 50% instant death Darkja (25% if you used Auto-Shell or Demon's Shields) or his innate ability to spam Scathe. Plus his Paling and Magick Barrier made for a seriously frustrating battle in the end, if you weren't lucky to one shot him with a 12-hit Quickening plus Dark Hole.
On a side note, where's the guy who accused me of never playing FFXII? :P
You said that FFXII didn't have the typical "triumph" music, he proved you wrong, hence why he said that you never played FFXII :P
You don't have to say you are sorry, I know you must feel pretty stupid now by saying it didn't have that music and how FFXII was your favorite FF :P
