The obsession some of these shooters have for violent videogames actually demonstrates a pretty serious problem that never seems to be discussed ... Why is it that no one notices that a someone has become amazingly withdrawn and escaped into a volent fantasy world until after they snap and shoot 20 people?
Back in school, one of my friends decided that he had no future in Computer Science and decided to drop out of school; the college I was in at the time had a strict policy that no student would be able to withdraw from all of their classes until they were cleared by one of the councelors. At the time he bitched and complained that it was such a waste of time but I saw it differently; at least someone was looking out to make sure he was making a decision in his best interests.
