It's a bit far through the generation for 3rd parties to be willing to take big risks on a peripheral will be doing well to achieve a 25% attach rate. Though I certainly hope they get sufficient support to become a pack in item from the beginning of the next generation. Then Sony and MS motion controls will get the right amount of support. |
Actually this gives 3rd parties a chance to take less risks in development through making a quick port to the ps3 and reducing the amount of sales to break even. Same concept as the ports for the HD consoles. I'm not sure if it would work with Natal though but MS would probablly fund those 3rd party projects anyway.

And give an answer other than "The Wii... duh" while maintaining a straight face. Anyways, the arc sure does look fantastic in what it can do. |
The "arc" has been in development since the Ps2 eye toy... Long before Nintendo announced the Wii... Maybe they decided to implement the controls faster than they would have normally judging by the Wii's success but the Wii did NOT give them the idea for motion control.

Prove it. Just because one Sony fan doesn't want motion and a few are excited about it doesn't mean the are hypocrites. Learn what a hypocrite is. I for one am still not interested in this Arc and I know a few who have maintained that stance as well. Seriously, its fucking annoying as hell when you say shit like this.
Only 2 pages in and some ridiculous posts already. Im done with this thread.
