FXIII shortage for ps3?

now they are taking the retail plan. They massively overship the 360 version and when the ps3 version sells out from pre-orders you will not be able to get the ps3 version in NA for a few weeks while there will be hundreds of unbought 360 versions on shelves to continue to say "you don't need a ps3 for this"

It's all part of the plan. You should of pre-ordered if you wanted the ps3 version.

That being said, here in my small small town there were 160 pre-orders for ff13 at one store. I live in the middle of no where, nova scotia canada. 150 were PS3. 

Actually SE had stated many times that they wanted to expand their presence in the western markets. At the time FFXIII was announced for the 360 the user base lead was more than double that of the PS3's in western markets, specifically the US. So to say it wasn't a strategic move on SE's part to broaden the presence in the US/Western markets by releasing on the 360 is pretty naive. And the reason why FFXIII Versus was never announced for the 360 was because they knew it's release date was much further away and didn't know what the userbase ratio's would be. Versus may still be announced for the 360 but had the Slim not come out to help the PS3 outsell the 360, it almost most certainly would already be in development for the 360. As of now, it might have a good chance of staying exclusive as is FFXIV because of the PS3's huge momentum within the last 8 months.

MS might have thrown some money at SE to get it to come aboard with XIII, but it might have just been SE getting what it knew it could get from them even if it already wanted to release on the 360.   

Is FFXIV still exclusive?
