complexity does not define what gameplay is better.
God of wars gameplay is rock solid. It is the absolute peak of what an action game can be.
Bayonetta isn't even in the same comparison. You're comparing DMC, God Hand and Ninja Gaiden to Bayonetta. It's a technical action game.
God of War is like the super smash brothers of fighting games, input is simple, but there is a lot of depth there. you certainly don't need to use it though. It's more accessible.
The mechanics and gameplay in GoW are refined and flawless. Again, the bayonetta concern is childish and un-needed, usually made by a very certain group of individuals.
