Has anyone played Heavy Rain on an SDTV?

I think their SDTV is broken. My friend's was broken. We would play PS3 and xbox games on it and everything was blurry. But on my old SDTV before I got my HDTV we could see the text fine. Chances are, something is wrong with the TV.
