Before I start, I am not trying to flame Heavy Rain. Despite my complaints and even my bias against QTE's going into Heavy Rain, I really liked the game. No matter the outcome of this topic, it is a good game. This is simply me being curious, having the game on my mind, and not being able to sleep.
Now that that's out of the way, I'm just curious about something-- can you play Heavy Rain on an SDTV?
I got to thinking about that question in another thread and I'm assuming it's like Dead Rising where there are parts you just can't read the text or see the QTE prompts.
Has anyone here actually tried playing the entire game on a SDTV?
I assume those would be hard to read but the only reason I ask is because I haven't heard anything about that. I assume people would be making some sort of stink over it if it were true and there are parts where I just can't see it not being true. Even on my 42" HDTV I had trouble seeing some of the prompts because they were too small or shaking all over the place and I just can't see how you would see that on an SDTV.
So that leaves me with two answers:
- The text is hard to read on SDTV's but most people play on HDTV's now.
- The text is not hard to read.
I just can't really believe either of those.
